Our collaborations with CouLture Migrante: training and social inclusion for the textile industry

Ratti collaborated with CouLture Migrante, an organization committed to fostering tailoring skills with a focus on inclusion in the Como area since 2018. Together with other companies in the sector, Ratti participated in a specialized training program aimed at preparing new seamstresses. The three-month training program featured 130 hours of technical lessons delivered by industry experts, designed to address the growing demand for highly specialized skills in the textile industry. Italia Innovation in Ratti

Italia Innovation, is an organisation that invites students and scholars from all over the world to Italy to explore economics, international relations and local politics in an innovative way. The Italia Innovation programme, known for its unique vision of Made in Italy, focuses on manufacturing, business, political leadership and local development. During the intensive three-week course, participants worked on case studies presented by leading Italian institutions and brands, including Ratti. Before visiting Ratti, the students and scholars received a detailed brief from members of the company’s Innovation Board. Ratti collaborates with Accademia Costume & Moda

In 2024, Ratti renews its collaboration with the Accademia Costume & Moda in Rome for the ‘Master Fabrics Innovation Design’. This prestigious industry project involved 14 international students, who were asked to work on a brief from Ratti’s style office, with a central theme of exploring animal motifs. The students had to create a collection of innovative prints, combining classic animal motifs with contemporary designs, looking for a new interpretation that maintained elegance and sophistication. The research process encompasses historical and anthropological analysis, conceptual investigation and experimentation with techniques on different textile bases, with a strong emphasis on the principles of sustainability, especially considering the theme of nature-inspired design. Ratti for Herno Life

The new Herno Relife project, is a collaboration between Ratti and Herno and is based on the shared values of craftsmanship, uniqueness, circularity and heritage. Together we breathed new life into 18 iconic patterns from Herno’s past collections, revisiting them through one of our most valuable and distinctive techniques: textile printing with planche. Each planche helped create “placed” prints that ensure the exact repetition of the design on each garment, while maintaining the individuality of each piece due to the manual nature of the process. Ratti has obtained the accreditation for the internal quality control laboratory

Ratti decided to obtain UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 certification for its internal quality control lab to guarantee customers the required quality standards and ensure monitoring of the production process. The certification procedure was concluded successfully in October 2023 with the accreditation certificate issued by Accredia (Certificate No. 2064L). Obtaining accreditation according to the reference standard has the purpose of demonstrating the company’s long-standing commitment to achieving excellence in its business; excellence that also depends on the ability to independently and professionally demonstrate the quality of the products processed and offered to the market. Ratti sponsor of the exhibition: Seth Siegelaub – textile art theory – organized by the Antonio Ratti Foundation

The exhibition Seth Siegelaub: textile art theory  is organized on the occasion of the Antonio Ratti Foundation’s recent acquisition of Seth Siegelaub’s prestigious book collection and the subsequent donation of his textile collection by Marja Bloem, director of Egress Foundation. Through works, textiles and documents, the exhibition reconstructs the journey of one of the most fascinating figures in contemporary culture.
