Warping and Weaving

Warp and weft, perpendicular on the loom, create our work of art: the fabric. The internal warping and weaving department makes it possible to optimise timing and create customised bases.

Dyeing

Classic shades and vibrant colours. Dyeing represents the essence of textile art, capable of transforming raw fabrics into chromatic masterpieces. At Ratti, artisan mastery meets technological innovation. From natural dyes to the most sophisticated chemical processes, constant research allows the creation of unique fabrics.

Printing

Printing has been Ratti’s soul and distinctive technique for over 75 years, establishing its name as a player and front-runner in the textile industry thanks to the use and introduction of cutting-edge technologies.

Screen printing

Traditional printing is an ancient art which combines craftsmanship and savoir-faire. A detailed and meticulous process which, through the succession of engraved frames following a pattern or motif, transfers the colours onto the fabric, bringing the design to life.

Digital printing

This constantly evolving and extremely precise technology is able to speed up the printing process. Small droplets of colour are released onto the fabric, through the conversion of digital files into electronic pulses.

Double centered and double-sided printing are an emblem of innovation and production research: new technologies that guarantee a unique printing performance and brand-new offer, looking to the future to create exclusive products.

Rotary screen printing

This advanced traditional printing technique uses rotating engraved cylinders to precisely transfer colour to the fabric surface.
This method allows the production of large lengths while maintaining high quality standards and definition. Rotary screen printing unites precision engineering and artistic creativity in the textile world.

Ennobling

The final phase of the production process aims to ensure that customers receive a product that fully satisfies their requests and expectations in terms of quality. This phase involves a series of detailed operations that require constant care and attention.

Steaming consists of treating the fabric so that the colour penetrates its fibres. Subsequently, excess colour is removed during the washing phase.

This fundamental phase guarantees the feel and performance of the fabric, such as its softness, waterproofing and anti-static properties. Finishing is tailored to the customer's needs.

Excellent service is guaranteed by quality control throughout the production process. All operators carry out specific checks based on their tasks. After laboratory tests to certify compliance with the agreed physical and technical standards, a final check is carried out before the edging and delivery of the fabric.

Accredited lab: an added value for quality

Ratti decided to obtain UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 certification for its internal quality control lab to guarantee customers the required quality standards and ensure monitoring of the production process. The certification procedure was concluded successfully in October 2023 with the accreditation certificate issued by Accredia (Certificate No. 02120).

The Accredia logo, only affixed to the tests subject to accreditation, does not indicate and must not be misinterpreted as certification of the product on which those tests are performed, nor that Accredia guarantees in any way that Ratti's products or productions have been verified and approved by Accredia.

Obtaining accreditation according to the reference standard has the purpose of demonstrating the company's long-standing commitment to achieving excellence in its business; excellence that also depends on the ability to independently and professionally demonstrate the quality of the products processed and offered to the market.

Edging

Ratti offers a complete integrated service. In the creation of soft accessories, the last step is edging. Great manual skills is essential to create refined garments: hand hemming and the fraying technique are just some examples of finishes.

The internal atelier at the Guanzate plant offers a rapid edging service for prototypes.
Two pan-European laboratories based in Tunisia make over 500,000 products per year according to traditional processes such as hand hemming, machine hemming and fraying, thanks to the skilled hands of 200 people.

 

In 2019, Ratti acquired a stake in the historic knitwear company Marielle, making it possible to expand its offer with the production of knitted accessories: hats, scarves and gloves with exclusive textures and yarns.
